- Build flat side room is a matter that requires clear visualization in learning. Therefore we need a media that can visualize geometrical flat side with a clear and easy to understand students. One of its efforts is the use of instructional media using camtasia program. This study aims to describe the development of media and explain the effective use of instructional media room flat sides awake using camtasia program in grade 4 SDN Bumiayu 2 Malang. This study used a qualitative approach and the type of research development. This media development refers to the development model CDMAT (Concept, Design, Collecting Materials, Assembly and Testing). The subjects of this study were fourth grade students by the number of 40 students. In this study, conducted on 17 September 2012 - 12 October 2012 at SDN Bumiayu 2 Malang, the meetings I and II for the delivery of content and the third test execution and distribution of students' questionnaire responses. The data was collected using interviews, questionnaires media expert, student questionnaire responses, and tests students' skills. The effectiveness of instructional media using camtasia program measured from the questionnaire about students' response to media learning and student learning outcomes. Based on the questionnaire responses of students to the media obtained 38 students (95%) stated that students work on the problems in the instructional media in order to get the maximum learning of 40 students (100%) stated that the appearance and content that attract media makes students more easily understand the material geometrical flat side, and 40 students (100%) expressed interest and easily understand the material with the flat side of the room got up program Camtasia. Based on the results of the final recapitulation ability test scores, obtained information that as many as 35 students (87.5%) managed to score above the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) with an average value of 84.5 class.
