PENGEMBANGAN MODUL DENGAN METODE PENEMUAN TERBIMBING PADA MATERI SEGIEMPAT DI KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 2 GEMPOL

  • All students in a class have various ability. One of them is ability in learning speed. Students could develop optimally as their own learning speed. That’s why, it is needed a learning material which is able to help student to learn concept as their learning speed. One of the learning material used is module. Material selected in this module development is material about rectangle. In developing this module, it is needed a method. Method selected is guided invention, so that the learning became meaningful Learning activity located in this module is conformed with phases in guided-invention method, which are: (1) students are given chance to state early hypothesis. (2) giving a chance to students to find concept, (3) giving chance to students to check their invention, (4) giving chance to students to apply their invention. Module development with guided-invention method via some phases, they are: (1) preparation; (2) arrangement; (3) validation and revision. Module produced has suited with phases in guided-invention method. Next, the module is validated by two Math Education lecturers from Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, University of Muhammadiyah Malang also two Math teachers of SMP N 2 Junior High School of Gempol. Module is also tested to 6 students of SMP N 2 Gempol garde VII. The result shows that module is valid with average validation value 3,3 from maximum 4, so it won’t need to be revised. While from test, the average found 3,6 from maximum point 4 and module doesn’t need revision. However, it needs more maintenance to get better teaching material
