Learning that has the characteristics above are known constructivist learning. In order to solve this problem, one with type TAI implementation of cooperative teaching and learning- Team Assisted Individualization (TAI).
The aims of this research are : (1) to describe activity of students in mathematics class, and (2) to describe improvement of students in learning achievement standard through the implementation of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). The study was conducted at SMPN 3 Sugio, Lamongan on March 13-20, 2012. It employed descriptive-qualitative design. The data that was took were the result of observing the student’s activities and tests. Then the data source in this research was teacher and of the students in VII A class. There were 28 students.
The result of the study shows: (1) Analysis of student activities with the implementation of cooperative teaching and learning- (TAI) obtained at meeting first 64.02% (good), because at meeting first had a lot of students are active, but at the discussion group students still do not show activeness. In the second meeting of the average result of 80.09% (very good), this is because the students have active of all stage, is already active in group discussions and class discussions.
