  • This study is aimed to describe the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD type by using media with observation toward teacher and students activity. Besides, it is to know the achievement of students after conducted test and response by students after following cooperative learning STAD type by using media. Approach used for this study is qualitative, while the study is descriptive. This study is conducted on March 23rd up to March 30th, 2011 in even semester year 2010-2011 in the VIII-D students of SMP Bhakti Turen, they are 30 students. Data collection technique used here is observation; it gives test and questionnaire for students response. Based on the result of analysis on teacher and students activity in conducting cooperative learning STAD type by using media over three times learning process can be implemented well; it can be seen through the percentage of teacher activity that reach 78% and the percentage of students activity is 70,6%. The learning result gained by students over learning process using cooperative learning process STAD type by using media, 26 students get classical completeness standard that is determined by Education Department because students who achieved classical completeness standard is 86,7%.
