- Mahakam Kembar Samarinda bridge is a new bridge that located in the direction of Mahakam I. The purpose of building the new bridge will reduce the stagnation that occurs in this area. On the other hand, it will increase the prolem in the old intersection. To overcome this problem, we must plan the geomatric intersection road interchange to reduce the stagnation and save the travel time. This planning used survey data location directly for a week to know the traffic volume through the road bridge. From the data that has been surveyed in the road bridge Mahakam, I got the transportation volume was 45921 trans/hour. This data can directly analysis and planned by using geomatric calculation which used the standard method of calculation from BinaMarga. From the result of discussion and analysis design, I found the intersection no plot in the form of “Y” interchange trumpet or bird head by 2 loop using bend Spiral-Circle-Spiral or S-C-S. The radius bend meet reservation with Rc>Rmin namely Rc = 205 m by length curved (Lt) 157,32 m and qualify the degree of saturation.
