- In the implementation of the project buildings, Tower Crane is a tool to lift and move material either vertical or horizontal direction. For efficiency at the cost of the project, estimates and placement Tower Crane needs to be planned prior to the start of construction. Tower cranes are generally used on many jobs with different characteristics such as the work of bearing reinforcement, formwork, casting, and others. Placement improper Tower Crane will has an impact on increasing the duration of the excess for Tower Crane and of course will affect the cost will increase. Therefore, it is necessary to calculation advance in order to calculate the productivity and the cost of the use of Tower Crane. By studying the characteristics and specifications of Tower Crane on construction projects in the structure of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University Brawijaya Malang then be made to the calculation of productivity time and cost of usage of the Tower Crane. Estimated time includes horizontal motion (trolley). Vertical (hoist), and rotation (swing) that is calculated mathematically for any kind of work with attention to conditions of employment. The results of this calculation will be expected to assist the contractor in determining the location of the Tower Crane field.
