- Lawang market which located on Jalan Thamrin is required to provide adequate parking facilities to accommodate visitors’ vehicles. The limited parking area makes the visitors park the vehicle on the street side so that it can disturb the traffic and can potentially reduce the effective width of the road and cause traffic disruptions. Hence there is a need of the evaluation study to know the parking service and performance of roads in that area. The evaluation parking service was based on value of index parking and turn over parking. As for performance evaluation standards refers to the Manual capacity of Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (1997). Parking service in lawang market is in the northern of market, for parking motor index parking was 136,45 % and turn over parking 0,48 kend/srp/hour. In the other hand, the index parking of car park was 50 % and turn over parking 0.21 kend/srp/hour. For curb parking area (car) of Thamrin, the index gained the highest Parking 220% and the highest Turn Over Parking 0.81 kend/SRP/hour. The performance of roads in Thamrin currently, obtained the degrees over fullness was 0,77 with a velocity of a free current of 45,58 km/hour, Parking service in lawang market in 2018 was known no longer able to accommodate the demand of vehicles park, Hence there is the need of the addition parking space for visitors’ vehicle.
