- Mathematics is one of the most important science to be learned by students in order to master all knowledge so that they could bring significant change to the advancement and survival of the people of Indonesia and able to compete with other nations. To achieve this, it is closely related to the ability of teachers to choose the approach and learning model. The students will better understand the material if they are facilitated with appropriate learning model. One model that optimizes student learning in the learning is cooperative learning model type Think-Pair-Share. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share in math class VIII A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, to know the students' activity during the use of cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share, and To know the completeness student learning class VIII A Junior High School 1 Malang after using cooperative learning model type Think-Pair-Share. This type of research used in this research is descriptive research. Descriptive research is research that aims to investigate or find lots of information from a phenomenon. subject in this study were class VIII A SMP Muhammadiyah Malang, amounting to 26 students. Data collection techniques used in this study is observation and tests. Observation is used to determine the activity of students during the learning process by using the cooperative learning model type Think-Pair-Share. While the tests used to determine students' mastery after using cooperative learning model type Think-Pair-Share. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share in the learning activities have reached mastery learning class VIII A 1 Malang Muhammadiyah junior high school year 2010/2011, the students can understand the material provided by teachers, particularly in the material interest factorization algebra. This can be seen from the final test results of students who have achieved mastery learning percentage 78.26% with an average of 63.26. Results of analysis of this data has reached SKBM (learning completeness Minimum Standards) established by the school. This shows that the implementation of cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share to meet mastery learning class VIII A 1 Malang Muhammadiyah junior high school year 2010/2011.
