- Juanda International Airport is the airport that serves the city and surrounding areas in East Java. Juanda Airport is located in District Waru, Sidoarjo district, 20 km south of Surabaya. Juanda International Airport is operated by PT Angkasa Pura 1. For the current airport has a runway length of 3000 meters with a width of 45 meters, while for the 30-meter wide taxiway and apron for the 124 meters with a width and length of 1036.3 meters. The airport is expected to accommodate 6 million to 8 million passengers per year passengers during its planning in 2006, until now there has been a huge surge of passengers which in 2012 reached 14,559,243 passengers per year and aircraft movements reached 125.957 movements per year, it Tertiary led to the decline of service and passenger comfort that occurred at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya. Of the existing problems it is necessary to plan the development of the geometric area that includes planning the runway, taxiways and aprons that will develop a new airport juanda region using several methods in planning airfield. The result of this planning development obtained runway length of 4113 meters and a width of 60 meters, the development of 30 meter wide taxiway and apron expansion that the region has a length of 344 meters and a width of 226.6 meters. Predicted for the movement of passengers and aircraft for up to 10 years is 31,486,888 219.653 passengers and aircraft movements per year.
