  • Waste ceramics have pointed and sharp textures on its side. Ceramics consist of several elements such as silica (SiO2), feldspar (Kal3O8), kaolin, clay. In this research, examination of ceramic waste material, it is intended to determine how much influence given that the ceramic waste as a partial replacement of aggregate violent towards absorption of concrete, concrete compressive strengh and split tensile strength. Coarse aggregate replacement with ceramic waste aggregate use variations of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% of the volume of coarse aggregate. Test performed using a cylindrical specimen by 54 specimens with a diameter of 150 mm and height of 300 mm at 28 days. The results showed that the use of ceramic waste coarse aggregate in place can increase the compressive strength. Optimum compressive strength present in 60% of the variation in the amount of 29.61 MPa increased by 10.24% from normal concrete. For testing tensile sides, concrete with ceramic waste utilization have split tensile strength of concrete is smaller than normal. It is seen from the variation of 100% ceramic waste produced tensile strength of 3.10 MPa. And absorption of the test results, the more increased variety of ceramic waste aggregate the value absorbsinya smaller.
