- Tank model are rarely implemented because it is not efficient because it has a lot of parameters that must be determined before the model was applied to the tank because there are more than 10 parameter.This research it intends to increase the performance of the model tank to be more practical and efficient in the application of the transformation rainfall data into river flow data. Tank model used in this study is a parallel tank model arrangement intended to implement Konto watershed and Lekso watershed.With using manual calculations and computations based on genetic algorithms will issue parameter values and deviation values of each, so that it can be seen the difference between the settlement with the manual method and calculation algorithms genetik. Research output showed that the model can present the parallel arrangement of the studied watersheds either by using genetic algorithms and manually, however for optimal result suggested using a calculation based on genetic algorithms for parameter values and the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) better than manual calculation.The same in continuity testing parameters by using testing data sets that the genetic algorithm-based model of the tank is more consistent than a simple tank model (manual calculation).
