  • Research on the aggregate use of HDPE plastic type aims to determine how the compressive strength of lightweight concrete produced by the soaked into the acid and how much influence it in a plastic aggregate neutralizing acid. The concrete was mixed using gresik cement type PPC, sand with the gradation limits zone 2, the aggregate of plastic with a maximum grain size of 20 mm. The solution used is sulfuric acid H2SO4 with pH 2,4. Soaking in acid solution into the concrete after the concrete was 28 days. Variation long immersion 10, 20, and 30 days. Compressive strength testing performed with a cylindrical test piece with a diameter of 150 mm and height 300 mm. As for penetration testing performed with a beam-shaped test specimen size 10 x 10 x 5 cm. The results showed that the use of HDPE plastic aggregate effect on acid resistance of lightweight concrete. This is shown in the compressive strength results obtained in the immersion of 10 days compressive strength of concrete is still at increased 15.29 Mpa. While in the submersion of 20 and 30 day compressive strength of a decline in a row in the amount of 14.62 Mpa and 14.12 Mpa. But this decline is not smaller than that obtained by the concrete compressive strength at 28 days is 13.96 MPa.
