  • Kokas Temporary Banishment is a Temporary Banishment located in North-Fakfak Village. Trash entered the Temporary Banishment in average was 21 carts per day with 214 m2 width. Trash from this Temporary Banishment, would not throw into Temporary Banishment, but it would be compost and recycled. It was un-optimum to be done, the trash was so full so that it overflow and Temporary Banishment would be full easily. The research purpose was to decide trash composition in Kokas Temporary Banishment, determine the economic value of trash in Kokas Temporary Banishment, determine mass balance in reality or after the potential was optimized into Kokas Temporary Banishment, analyze the trash heap in Kokas Temporary Banishment, also determine carbon rate which could be reduced after recycling and composting according reality and potential. Analysis showed that trash heap in Kokas Temporary Banishment was 0,8638 kg/day/person, with trash composition each divided into wet trash 31,50%, papers 5,21%, plastic 6,33 %, cloth 9,16%, metal 17,20% wood 13,70%, glass 9,90%, and rubber 7%. Economic value for Kokas Temporary Banishment was Rp.103.515,03, after optimizing raised into Rp.162.539,03. meanwhile, mass balance found that the average trash weight which thrown was 771,95 kg/day, reduced into 236,12 kg/day, so there could be concluded that reduced trash was 535,9 kg. Then optimization was done for mass balance value changed into 139,42 kg, and trash weight brought into Temporary Banishment was 632,6 kg. Trash management in Kokas Temporary Banishment was done by grouping recycle and compost product and composting would create emission for 30.42 MTCO2E per year, smaller than all trash (137.98ton) thrown directly to Temporary Banishment that was 23,59 MTCO2E per year.
