  • Rice is the staple food for the Indonesian people. Rice plants have a very detrimental pests to farmers. Brown plant hopper is an important pest in rice cultivation systems are highly detrimental, brown plant hopper pests annual average is 28.222 ha/year. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of concentration of the filtrate soursop seeds and leaves to brown plant hopper on paddy plant. The research was conducted at the green house at University of Muhammadiyah Malang and Agronomy Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture-Animal Husbandry. This study began in April 2013 until August 2013. The research method consists of several stages: preparation of the planting, rearing brown plant hopper, the manufacture of pesticides and pesticide application. The research design used was a randomized block design (RBD) orthogonal contrasts with 2 factors, the first factor pesticide plant species consisting of 2 levels: seeds and leaves of the soursop, the second factor is the concentration which consists of 3 levels: 25 g / l of water, 50 g / l of water and 75 g / l of water. Each treatment combination was repeated 5. The parameters observed were number of productive tillers, weight of rice and efficacy results of control. These results indicate that the interaction between type and concentration pesticide to number of productive tillers and yield of rice per clump weight. Filtrate soursop seeds with a concentration of 25 g / l of water increased number of productive tillers and heavy rice yield. Filtate soursop leaves with a concentration of 50 g / l of water increased number of productive tillers and heavy rice yield. But no interaction between material type and concentration on the efficacy of control. Based on the results of DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) level of 5%, indicating that the seed filtrate and filtrate soursop soursop leaves effectively control the number of leafhoppers. While the pesticide concentration of 25 g / l of water, 50 g / l and the water and 75 g / l of water are all effective in controlling the number of leaf hoppers.
