  • Plant breeding program of Jatropa that is conducted by ballitas has found some genotypes from NTB, NTT, East Java, Central Java and Lampung. However, there are no best varieties of Jatropa that have been released to the farmers. So that, the limited information about the best Jatropa and effective method in the development of Jatropa. From the results of crosses made by Maftuchah et al (2004) has obtained some excellent numbers of high-yield production. Intersection numbers are tested in various fields to obtain the growth rate of production. Six numbers of the plants are tested and planted at plasma nutfa garden, Kedung Pengaron Village consists of four numbers of Jatropa plants from crosses of accession and two numbers from DEPTAN (Agriculture Departement). Information and analysis on the strength from the number of tree that is in terms of productivity and growth is needed, so it is expected to obtain the best varieties. The aim of this study was to determine and analyze the differences in growth and productivity of some of crossing numbers of Jatropa at the first harvest stage. The research was conducted in Plasa Nutfah garden that is located in Kedung Pengaron Village with altitude three hundrends meters above sea level, Kejayan District, Pasuruan , East Java. The study began in December 2011 to April 2012. The design of this study is used Simple Randomized Design Group (RAK), with six treatment levels and each level is divided into four treatment replicates with 480 plants. The result of this study shows that the six numbers of Jatropa there is no obvious difference to the growth of Jatropa (plant height and number of end buds). While at the parameters of productivity of six Jatropa shown noticible differences. The plants that have highest productivity is number 18 (the number of fruit, fruit number and seed dry weight). With the 51.16 g weight dry seeds per plant. So that the number 18 of plants need to be investigated and further research in different multilocation trials so it is expected can be used as one of the best Jatropa seed for the future plant breeding programs.
