  • This study aims to determine: (1) how the activities of teachers and students in applying learning midel Learning Cycle "5E" in the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Sukorejo, (2) how the communication skills of students with mathematics learning model using Learning Cycle "5E" on tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Sukorejo, (3) mathematical reasoning ability of students using the learning modelLearning Cycle "5E" in the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Sukorejo, (4) mastery learning model of teaching students after application of Learning Cycle "5E" The research is classroom action research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. Object in this research is a student of class X TEI SMK Negeri 1 Sukorejo with trigonometry material. Data collection using observation sheet that is to know students' oral communication skills, ability to communicate in writing and reasoning, as well as the final test for mastery learning. The results for the implementation of the learning model Learning Cycle "5E", can be stated as follows: (1) the activity of teachers in the first cycle quite good with percentages of 67.69% and on the second cycle can be said to be good with percentages of 79.23%. (2) student activity in the first cycle quite good with percentages of 68.67% and on the second cycle can be said to be good with percentages of 78.65%. (3) oral communication skills in the first cycle may be said quite well with the percentage amounted to 67.15% and on the second cycle said to be good with percentages of 70%. While students' communication skills in writing mathematics in the first cycle showed a percentage of 69.23% with the criteria quite well, and on the second cycle shows the percentage amounted to 70.91% with a good criterion. (4) students' mathematical reasoning ability. In the first cycle may be said to be good with percentages of 72.67%, while in the second cycle test showed the percentage of 80.33% with a good criterion.(5) mastery learning outcomes of students in the first cycle showed complete 29 of 39 students with mastery percentage of 74.35%. While on the second cycle showed 32 students from 39 students with a thorough mastery percentage of 82.05%. This shows that learning math by using the learning model Learning Cycle "5E" aided structured LKS is successful with students demonstrated mastery learning on the second cycle reaches more than 75%.
