- The research aims to describe the application of the ABC system (Always Better Control) and assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of the drugs inventory control at Aisyiyah Malang Islamic Hospital. Instrument of analysis which used is ABC (Always Better Control) method and EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. Bench mark to assess the efficiency, comparison is used between inventory cost based on the EOQ method with the one used by hospital, while the effectiveness of the assessment based on the effectiveness of the ABC (Always Better Control) system application. The result of the study showed that the application of the ABC (Always Better Control) system still has weaknesses, based on analysis of ABC (Always Better Control) for the A class drug has a percentage of 13% from the total inventory with a total cost of 48%, B class has a percentage of 33% from the total inventory with a total cost of 27% and while C class has a percentage of 54% from the total inventory with a total cost of 25%. Meanwhile, if viewed from the assessment of the cost efficiency then the hospital has not been efficient yet in managing its drug inventory so that it still has a efficiency chance for drug A, B and C classes with amount of Rp 230.873, Rp 1,036,115 and Rp 5.716, 593, in terms of assessing the effectiveness then the inventory management at Aisyiyah Islamic Hospital has not been Effective yet because of the drug purchasing system are only done based on necessity.
