- The study objective was to determine the development of the financial performance of the tobacco industry and find a company that has the best financial performance in the period of the tobacco industry from 2009 to 2011. The analytical tool used in this study is comprised of Financial Ratios liquidity ratios, profitability, solvency, and activity. To make a comparison of the company also used the analysis of time series and cross section. The results of the analysis of the financial statements of the cigarette industry, showed an increase in the financial performance of each company. The company can increase the ratio from year to year in a positive way. All companies have a high inventory, it's pretty good because increasingly strict government policies on tobacco each year. And companies with the best financial performance is PT. HM Sampoerna Tbk.
