- The purpose of this study was to find out how the city government's financial performance in the province of East Kalimantan in the year 2006-2009. The analytical tool used is to calculate and analyze the ratio of independence, effectiveness, activity and growth. Having obtained the data from the calculation, then conducted a discussion based on the results of these calculations. From the analysis it can be seen that the best self-sufficiency ratio is in Aberdeen city government of 13.42%. For the best effectiveness ratio is Bontang City Government that is equal to 137.4%. As for the ratio of activity, each shopping for the most major surgery is the Government of Balikpapan City at 79.13% and capital expenditure was best at Bontang City Government amounting to 42.03%. And for the best growth rate is at Bontang City Government that is equal to 37.46%.
