  • This study was conducted to describe the internal control system in the function of providing credit to the PT. Bank of East Java Branch Kepanjen is already in line with the elements of the internal control system or not. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a case study approach. Data used in this study are secondary data form, evidence, records and documents of the company. From the results of research conducted with reference to the four components of internal control systems, namely 1) the organizational structure that separates the strictly functional responsibilities, 2) recording system of authority and procedures of credit, 3) healthy practices in carrying out the duties and functions of each organizational unit, 4) the quality of the employee in accordance with its responsibilities, the researchers concluded that the internal control system in the function of people's business credit PT. Bank of East Java Branch Kepanjen be said yet fully meet the elements of a good internal control system, is evidenced in the organizational structure of the Bank of East Java Branch Kepanjen there is coupling between the task of the Branch Manager and Head of Field Operations and Marketing Staff similarities between the task and Credit Fund with Credit Analysis Staff . Admin staff did the initial interview in writing. Form for the loan application serial number printed yet and do not turnover positions on each piece of credit. Based on the results of analysis, advice that can be given is looking for a temporary replacement for part of the Operational Leadership, Marketing Staff distinguish between task and Credit Fund with Credit Analysis Staff, at the time of submission of the loan application Admin staff should conduct initial interviews in writing, made a numbered print on any document or form, and the company needs to do a turnaround office conducted regular and scheduled.
