- Research is conducted to analyze the financial performance of government and private banks listed at BEI in period 2010-2012. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. The sample is 6 banks. Analysis technique is by measuring the financial performance of the banks by analyzing over financial ratios (CAR, LDR, ROA and BOPO) and then comparing the financial performance based on year and on BI’s criteria of rank. Result of analysis indicates that the percentage of six banks with ratios of LDR, ROA, and BOPO, has aligned with BIÂ’s rank. CAR rate shows unfavorable performance as proved by very high CAR rate. However, all public and private banks have improved their performance every year. In comparison, BCA is a private bank with better performance.
