The purpose of the study is to analyze and evaluate the implementation of accounting information systems on Bookstore purchases and sales, as well as the design of accounting information systems computer-based buying and selling the right to use accounting software as an application that helps accounting information system activity of buying and selling at the Bookstore. Object of this study is that UMM Bookstore is one of the UMM business unit besides the medical center, hospital, gas station, and hotel UMM inn. The results showed there were weaknesses in procedures and control activities in the transaction of purchase and sale. Researchers designed the app Pursel applications using Microsoft Excel as an accounting information system processing purchase and sale of computer based on Bookstore. It is expected to overcome weaknesses in recording and reporting Bookstore purchases and sales by recommending design application that has been used previously designed according to the design of research applications.
