  • Independent likes other psychological matters, can be developed well if chances are given to be improved through practice continuously and done from early age in their own age and competence. Having independent is a task for teenagers. By the indepedent, dropout teenagers must learn and practice to make planning, choosing alternatives, making decision, act according to his own decision and also responsible for what they done. So, free themself from their dependent on his parents or adult In order to reach the goal, drop out tenagers who follow encouraging development must have strong motivasion to fulfill the worth timing to achieve a skill for equipping their lives ahead. This is quantitative research. Research population is drop out teenagers who stay in teenagers nursinghome Budi Satria Banjarbaru. This research takes all population as subject as 125 person. Collecting data methodology is scale. That is achievement motivation and independent scale. The data analysis methodology used product moment correlation which is aided by SPSS 13.00 for window. The research result shows there is a positive relationship dan very significance between achievement motivation and independent with the relation coefficient r = 0,763 and probabilty error p 0,000<0,01. This means the stronger achievement motivation , the stronger independent, on vice versa the lower achievement motivation, the lower independent. Effective contribution is 58,2%. The rest 41,8% is influenced by other factors, not search such as economic factor, family factor, enviroment factor and intelligence
