The need is usually called by the needs of affiliated, namely a need to interact with others, especially his group. Where needs are likely not affiliated be separated from the teen's self esteem. Teenagers will form views about themselves and self-esteem than peer reaction to it. If he has a lot of her friends feel the value will increase. But if he is isolated and does not have a way, he will tend to evaluate themselves negatively. This study aims to determine the relationship between the needs of affiliation with self-esteem in adolescents. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a positive relationship between need for affiliation with self-esteem.&#xD; This study included 70 subjects consisting of students in grade XI and XII MAN Malang I, taken using cluster random sampling technique. While the data collection instruments used were a scale, namely: self-esteem scale and the scale of needs is affiliated. The data analysis method used in this study is the technique of Pearson product moment correlation using SPSS computer system for Windows version 10.00. From the data analysis shows that there is significant positive relationship between need for affiliation with self-esteem in adolescents (r = 0.628 and p = 0.000) meaning that the higher needs of adolescents affiliated with the more higher the price itself. Meanwhile, the lower the need for affiliated youth the lower the price themselves.
