- As social creatures, humans must be able to portray themselves as individuals and as members of the public. The success of a person in bringing a different optimum point is the role of individual and social roles is called a person has reached the level of "mature" or "adult" in the social meaning of this study aims to determine the relationship between parenting Permissive-Indulgent With Social Maturity in Adolescents. The hypothesis is that there is a negative relationship between parenting Permissive-Indulgent With Social Maturity in Adolescents. The study was conducted on December 24, 2005. Subjects were high school students LUMAJANG STATE 3, which sits in class 2 and was 70 subjects. The method of taking the sample using purposive sampling method. Data obtained using (1) scale-indulgent permissive parenting, and (2) social maturity scale. Test the validity of using the product moment, the index of validity for (1) scale-indulgent permissive parenting of 0.2422 to 0.6227 and (2) social maturity scale 0.2450 to 0.6978. Data were analyzed using product moment analysis. With r = -0.450 and P = 0.000 at significant level 1%, as well as having an effective contribution to the social maturity variables are aspects of the demands of parents ask for a bit that is equal to 18.7% and give a little rule that is equal to 37.2%. The rest was influenced by other variables not studied, such as peer acceptance, environmental conditions and intellectual abilities. Based on the above results it can be concluded that there is a very significant negative correlation between permissive parenting-indulgent with social maturity in which the higher-indulgent permissive parenting, the lower the social maturity, and vice versa if permissive-indulgent parenting is low, social maturity tend to high in adolescents. Where aspects of permissive-indulgent parenting a more effective contribution to the social maturity variable is the aspect of parents ask for a little demands and give a little rule. From the conclusion that there is, suggested parents should implement a better upbringing of permissive parenting-indulgent to be able to create individuals who are mature in their social environment by applying a clear rules and firm on her son.
