- In an increasingly complex modern life, humans will tend to experience stress when the person is less able to adapt its desires with the realities that exist, the fact that there is good inside and outside of that person. Countless events that can cause stress. Most of the major changes that affect many people, such as war and earthquakes. Another event is a major change in one's life, like moving to a new place, change jobs, get married, lose friends, suffering from serious diseases and others. A convict (Residents Patronage Penitentiary) previously was a part of social life that has no desire to become a prisoner. However, due to a condition that caused him to be a prisoner and get into the Correctional Institution. Major changes in this person's life (ordinary people become prisoners) that can cause someone to be stressful. In accordance with this background, the authors take the title "Factors Potential stress In Prisoners In Correctional Institution Class I Lowokwaru Malang". The purpose of this study was to determine Factors Potential stress In Prisoners In Correctional Institutions Lowokwaru Class I Malang. Which is the source of data in the implementation of this research is 2 Class I Correctional Institution inmate Lowokwaru Malang, Which has the highest stress levels meurut information obtained from the LP officer Lowokwaru Malang. Data collection methods used were interviews and observation. The result showed that the factors that cause the Class I Correctional Institution inmate Lowokwaru Malang stress is a problem that comes from outside the LP, which is a problem with the family. In addition, anxiety about the future seems to also be a factor that led to inmate stress.
