  • For some residents of East Java, as in Malang, Blitar, Banyuwangi, Pacitan, earthquake is a natural disaster they must always face every time. Because the place they inhabit is one point of the earthquake in Indonesia. Damage to buildings occurs in almost all strata of society, even the greatest damage in buildings are generally modest house tembokan. Tembokan material strength is one determinant of strength tembokan wall. The variation of material strength tembokan significant between each region are different causes of damage variation, although the structure and maximum intensity of earthquakes is relatively the same .. This study aimed to find the cause of which may be incurred by the use of materials that are less qualified tembokan strength. Additionally, it will note its advantages and disadvantages of each material the quake zone. This research was conducted laboratory Civil Engineering University of Malang. Areas of interest in earthquake prone areas such as the southern part of East Java Malang, Blitar, Banyuwangi and Pacitan. The mixture used is 1:0:3, 1:1:5, 1:3:10, (Sand: Lime: Cement) Tests conducted masonry compressive strength is only referring to the SNI 03-4164-1996. each variable was made 3 things uji.Pengujian strong adhesive and masonry compressive strength after 28 days From the test results of masonry compressive strength optimum at 1:0:3 mix variation of masonry compressive strength produces an average of 116,687 kg/cm2 (pacitan), 93.356kg/cm2 (banyuwangi), 85.025kg/cm2 (Blitar) and 58 358 kg/cm2 (poor). From the test mixture composition variations affect the masonry compressive strength, the less of sand and lime will affect the masonry compressive strength is even greater.
