- Divorce is the culmination of a bad marital adjustment. For divorced women, divorce is a complex issue and involves emotions. Emotional maturity needed to be control of emotional reactions that it faces so that they can express his emotions run private right and can make interaction with a good social environment in order to reach a good social adjustment. This research is a non-experimental. Samples from this study are divorced women who live in the area of Malang regency. The total sample used was as many as 45 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the characteristics of divorced women who mature early age (18-40 years) and the period of divorce range from 1-4 years. Instrument used to retrieve data is to use two scales, namely the scale of emotional maturity which accounted for 36 items and the scale of social adjustment totaling 35 items. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation test, with the help of SPSS for Windows version 11. The results showed that there were positive and highly significant relationship (r = 0.614, sig <0.010) between the maturity of emotion with social adjustment in divorced women, this means the rise and fall of the value of the variable of emotional maturity will be followed also by the fluctuation of the value on the social adjustment variables . The effective contribution given by the emotional maturity of social adjustment amounted to 37.7% (r2 X 100%), while the remaining amount of 62.3% caused by other factors not examined.
