- Retirement is a stage of development that will be experienced by everyone who works, which at that time a person will experience changes in roles and lifestyle. The condition often brings its own problems, where the retired person will lose a job he loved that identifies a person. It is not uncommon to cause psychological symptoms associated with the expiration of a person who called the post-power syndrome. There is support for families and how the provision of support provided the family will contribute significantly to one's mental and physical health. Therefore, researchers are interested in knowing whether there is influence of family support force against the tendency of post-power syndrome on retirees. This study uses a quantitative approach using Variables in Style family support, as well as Bound Variables: post power syndrome. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of family support force against the tendency of post-power syndrome on retirees. The subject used as samples in this study as many as 50 people. The research instrument used in the form of family support style scale, and scale of post-power syndrome. Analysis of the data used is regression analysis. Results of data analysis in this study indicate that there is significant effect of family support force against the tendency of post-power syndrome in retired Pertamina. This can be seen from the results of data analysis as follows: active engagement (F = 24.142, Sig = 0.000), protective buffering (F = 15.302, Sig = 0.000), and overprotection (F = 5.757, Sig = 0.020).
