- A divorce is the culmination of unwell marital adjustment and it happens if the spouse has been unable to find the solut. Ion of the problems that might satisfy both of them. A good marital adjustment is expected to prolong marriage, but instead a bad marital adjustment will end in divorce. Marital adjustment is the adjustment process of life as husband and wife in the household life without involvedby other parties. Research method used in this research was qualitative. This qualitative study aims to determine marital adjustment in spouse prior to the divorce, in this case include: adjustment to the partner, sexual adjustment, financial adjustment and alignment with partner’s families. The research was performed with a source of triangulation method on two women who have been divorced. Required data were collected through interview method. Result for the research of the first subject shows that basically there were no problems during the marriage, like in generally: tried to understand each other, received, and relented, but the divorcewas occurred because the partner affair. Whereas in the second subject is known that during marriage, financial adjustment became more complicated problems and result in other aspects. In this case a divorce was occurred because of dissatisfaction the condition of husband who does not has any job. In this study can be concluded that a good marital adjustment is a unified whole from aspects contained in it.
