- The game is an activity that encountered at every level of human life. At the age of the children, the game has an important role to meet their physical and psychological development, but different from that experienced by street children. Their play time consumed by the job because of the limited economic status. So the game of street children tend to adjust their time and circumstances, this raises the selection of street children different types of games with other children in general. This type of qualitative research and aims to determine the perception of street children on the play, the times used by street children to play, and the types of games played by street children. The population in this study are street children residing in the city of Malang, while the samples from this study amounted to 5 people. Data collection methods used were interviews and observation, while the validity of the data using triangulation, the source and the means to compare and check behind the degree of confidence any information acquired through time and different tools to accomplish that by comparing the observed data with data from interviews. Results showed that street children do not understand the meaning of the play activities they do. According to them play is to do fun activities, so that kind of game that they do simply for pleasure. While these times can be used by them to play not necessarily depend on the opportunity and time to spare. For street children aged preschool to do more exercise games like: hairpins play, play scarves, play bowls and other plastic and conducting role-play games such as: market-market play, play toy cars and other other. While street children are old school game a lot to choose roles, such as: play cars, play a rocking horse, playing sell-selling and others.
