  • Radio is able to put ourselves as a media broadcast news media is equivalent to other woods such as television and newspapers. Radio is the electronic mass media are capable widthly information quickly and accurately. The nature of "urgency" of this radio makes its presence increasingly "ogled" by the public. Since the reformation era, the growing proliferation of private radio station that comes with a certain image, there is a format of radio news (news radio), radio entertainment (non-news radio), and the radio mix (radio mix). This research is descriptive quantitative research that takes place at the Muhammadiyah University of Malang. This research is based on the theory of SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response), because to know the extent of response to cognitive responses (knowledge), affective response (attitude) and conative or behavioral response (behavior or action) the concentration of Journalism students force 2003 against the messages submitted via MAS FM radio news broadcasts Malang. The reason the researchers chose Radio MAS FM radio as an object of study because it is one of private radio news format (news radio). Radio MAS FM is committed to presenting news and current information about the city of Malang and Batu, as well as news of national and international scale, combined with a variety of interesting events. The samples were determined by selecting the people - people who have heard MAS FM radio news broadcasts more than twice and still active in college, and samples obtained by 30 respondents. because the number of samples below 100, then taken as a whole or total sampling technique. While the questionnaire data collection techniques and documentation The data has been collected and then analyzed with quantitative data analysis using the formula average (mean) are: Σfx X = N From the calculation of the questionnaire, the results of the data obtained can be known through the continuum of five, namely students' cognitive responses to radio news broadcasts FM Malang MAS is at 3.2 or 64%. Affective responses of students to MAS FM radio news broadcasts Malang is at 3.4 or 68%. While the conative or behavioral responses of students to MAS FM radio news broadcasts Malang is at 2.5 or 50%. The overall result of the - 3 items by 30 respondents who responded about MAS FM radio news broadcasts are at a point continuum Malang 3.037 or if present to 60%. When viewed in the guidelines of interpretation is at its "High". It can be concluded that the MAS FM radio news broadcasts by students responded Higher concentrations of Journalism class 2003.
