- This research is descriptive research that aims to identify the forms of adjustment in the Correctional Institution inmate drug chatter. Life in Prison is hard, which is different from life in society outside of prisons, making the status of individual inmates must make the adjustment process to the environment. The subjects used in this study were residents Patronage Penitentiary (PLT), which has a drug case with the number 2 people. Data collection method uses observation and interviews. While the analysis methods used in data analysis method descriptions, are for the validity of data on the use of triangulation technique which is a technique that utilizes the data validity checking something else out or checking the data for purposes of comparison with the data already obtained. From the research, many ways or forms of drugs used by inmates in adjusting to the environment include: refuse activities that conflict with LP rules, glad to help others in need, as long as capable and do not harm themselves, often involved in talking with friends- his friend, shows a friendly attitude towards others, often following activities will be undertaken in groups of either goal, satisfaction in dealing with friends of other inmates and with staff, working very hard in order to succeed through the activities, satisfaction in complying with regulations is in LP. For the drugs so that more inmates conduct or activity that preferred to avoid the tendency of the desire for drugs. As follow sports activities, work activities, as well as religious activity, so thoughts of drugs can be distracted even disappear from the inmates themselves.
