- The purpose of this research is to measure the influence of Economic Value Added and profitability ratios to rate of stock return either simultaneously and partially in food & beverages industry at the period 2004 until 2008. Dependent variable in this research is rate of stock return while the independent variable is Economic Value Added (EVA) and profitability ratios measured with Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), dan Return on Sales (ROS). Analysis technic was used to know influence of EVA, ROA, ROE, and ROS to rate of stock return is multiple regression equation and to test hypothesis used F test analysis for simultaneous and T test analysis for partial. Result of test indicate that from F test analysis showed that EVA and profitability ratio simultaneous have significant effect to rate of stock return. T test showed that EVA have significant effect to rate of stock return and profitability ratio measured with ROA, ROE, and ROS do not have significant effect to rate of stock return.
