- Background: Patient with Type II DM must be concerned because Type II DM can cause 30% kidney damage. Kidney damage because of DM start to develop if there is abnormal albumin from urine. Objective: To know the correlation between illness courses period to Type II Diabetes Mellitus Patient with Qualitative Proteinuria at RSUD Jombang District. Method: This research use observational analytic design with cross sectional approach. Data collection is non random using consecutive sampling method. The sample is 43 people that obtained from patient medical record at RSUD Jombang District. The data analysis is Spearman Correlation. And to know the difference will be used MannWhitney test. Result: Spearman analysis result from group 1 with illness courses period < 5 years and group 2 with illness courses period > 5 years show the correlation between illness courses period to Type II Diabetes Mellitus Patient with Qualitative Proteinuria is significant (p=0,048, smaller than 0,05), and having strong positive correlation direction (r=0,304). Variance test result from Group 1 and Group 2 using MannWhitney show the correlation between illness courses period to TypeII Diabetes Mellitus Patient with Qualitative Proteinuria is significant (p=0,04, smaller than 0,05). Conclusion: There is positive and significant correlation between illness courses period to Type II Diabetes Mellitus Patient with Qualitative Proteinuria at RSUD Jombang District from January to June 2009 Period.
