  • Forms and types of games in Indonesia is very diverse. This due to the diversity of cultures and ethnic groups. An area will reduce the types of games that fun and most satisfying kegenerasi next. Sasak tribe in the village is a community Senaru to this day still maintain a culture that has and has not heavily influenced by globalization. State of an unspoiled environment and form of the mountains make their children still have a vast land to play. It certainly makes the game the children have uniqueness. This research aims to reveal the forms of play that performed by children at the Sasak tribe in the West. Location research is the village of Bayan Senaru District, West Lombok. This study using qualitative methods - descriptive exploratory method data collection are observation and interview. The research subjects is a child with an age limit to 12 years. The research revealed that the game performed by children Sasak tribe is not too much different from that performed by children from other areas in Indonesia. But there are differences in terms of the mention of the name of the game and also the tools game used. Sasak Children using play equipment that can be easily obtained from natural surroundings such as wood, stone, seeds, and also hewanhewan contained therein. Based on the classification, shape game consists of motion and function of the game, game collection, games rules, pretending game, construction game, a game of exploration, game music, game entertainment, games alea / gambling. The games performed by children in the Sasak tribe has its own characteristics. Children Sasak tend to like games that involve movement and function, of course this is supported by the circumstances that there is still a forest environment, waterfalls, rivers, rice fields and gardens. Most of the games children Sasak requires agility, strength, and strategy.
