Recently &#xD; Amoksilin&#xAD;Klaritromisin is used to cure the infection, by working together in destructing cell&#xAD; wall and inhibit the protein synthesis. Because of the high failure of the therapy, some alternative therapy appears, an example is the addition of ascorbic acid that works as antioxidant and &#xD; changing the micro&#xAD;environment pH. The purpose of this study is to prove the affectivity of ascorbic acid addition in the combination of Amoksilin&#xAD;Klaritromisin in order to inhibit the growth of Helicobacter pylori . This Experimental explorative study was done in Biomedical &#xD; Unit of RSUD Mataram in September 2007. The Subject is Helicobacter pylori in BAP and was incubated in micro aerofilic condition. The sampling methode used total sampling. The collected data is the diameter of inhibition zone that&#x2019;s formed in the Helicobacter pylori colonies, usingdisc diffusion method, with the dosage of Amoksilin 10 &#xB5;g and Klaritromisin 5 &#xB5;g as control and then for the sample we add ascorbic acid with dose 31,5 &#xB5;g , 62,5 &#xB5;g , 125 &#xB5;g , 250 &#xB5;g , and 500 &#xB5;g. We analyze the result with ANOVA, Duncan test, and Correlation Regression test. The result of this study can prove that the addition of ascorbic acid in the combination of Amoksilin&#xAD; Klaritromisin can increase the diameter of inhibition zone (p=0,029), and the MIC of the addition is 125 &#xB5;g. The correlation regression test shows that there&#x2019;s a weak relation between the addition of ascorbic acid and the increase of diameter of inhibition zone (r2=0,259).
