- Background : 0 to 5 years were the golden age. This is the ideal period for children to look for, learn and gain basic concepts which will affect their lives in the future. 76.8% of mothers of infants have poor role in their children’s dental health, 71.33% of mothers never take their infants to dentist because baby teeth are only temporary and will be replaced by permanent teeth, so they think damaged baby tooth isn’t a problem (Anna et al, 2015). Research Purpose : Describing the role of mothers in teaching tooth brushing among children of TK Dharma Wanita Kandangan. Research Method : The present study was a descriptive study with cross secsional method. The research population was mothers of students of B class of Tk Dharma Wanita Kandangan. The research sample was saturated sample. The research result data was presented as frequency distribution and cross-tabulation. Research Result : Mother’s role in teaching tooth brushing was good in the 31-40 years old age group (52.8%), good in high school education group (47.2%) and good in housewives occupation group (52.8%). Conclusion : Mother’s role in teaching tooth brushing was good. Keywords : Mother’s role, Teaching tooth brushing, Kindergarten student
