- ABSTRAKHospitalisasi adalah suatu keadaan yang menyebabkan seseorang harus tinggal dirumah sakit untuk mendapatkan perawatan dan pengobatan. Salah satu intervensi keperawatan anak untuk membantu mengurangi kecemasan anak prasekolah selama menjalani hospitalisasi adalah terapi bermain seperti clay. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi bermain clay terhadap kecemasan pada anak usia prasekolah (3-6 tahun) yang menjalani hospitalisasi di RSUD Banjarbaru. Penelitian ini bersifat quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. Pengambilan sampel sebanyak 26 anak usia prasekolah yang terbagi atas 13 anak kelompok kontrol dan 13 anak kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Kecemasan anak diukur menggunakan Preschool Anxiety Scale-Revised (2010). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara mengukur kecemasan sebelum dan kecemasan sesudah pada kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Hasil analisis statistik menggunakan uji t independent didapatkan nilai p-value 0,000<α 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh terapi bermain clay terhadap penurunan kecemasan pada anak usia prasekolah (3-6 tahun) yang menjalani hospitalisasi di RSUD Banjarbaru. Kata-kata kunci: anak prasekolah, clay, hospitalisasi, kecemasan. ABSTRACTHospitalization is a condition that causes a person should stay in the hospital for treatment and medication. One of the possible nursing interventions for the children to reduce their anxiety during hospitalization is through play therapy such as clay play. The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of clay therapy on the anxiety in preschool children (3-6 years) during hospitalization in Banjarbaru Public Hospital. This study was quasi experimental with a pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. The accidental sampling technique was used in this study to select the samples of 26 preschool children. The samples were divided into two groups, an experimental group and a control group, each of which consisted of 13 children. Child’s anxiety was measured using the Preschool Anxiety Scale Revised (2010). The data were collected through measuring pre and post anxiety on both groups. The statistical results using t-independent test showed that p-value was 0.000<α 0.05, indicating that there were the effectiveness of clay therapy on reducing anxiety in preschool children (3-6 years) during hospitalization in Banjarbaru Public Hospital.Keywords: preschool children, clay, hospitalization, anxiety.
