- ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF USING SNOWBALL THROWING MODEL TOWARDS STUDENTS’ WRITING ABILITY IN RECOUNT TEXT AT THE SECOND SEMESTER IN THE EIGHTH GRADE OF MTS AL-HIKMAH GERNING IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2020/2021 By Dian Narulita The objective was to find out whether or not there was any influence of using Snowball Throwing model towards the students’ writing ability in recount text at the second semester in the eighth grade of MTs Al-Hikmah Gerning. Quasi-experimental was used by researcher as the research design, there were three treatments that have been done in three meetings for experimental class. The students were taught by using Snowball Throwing model. The eighth class became the population of this research with 48 students as the sample that came from two classes. The researcher used independent sample T-test to calculate the data after the students were given a post-test. In short, based on the data analysis the result of independent sample t-test was 0.000. It can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted since the Sig pvalue was ˂ ɑ = 0.05. In other words, there was sinificant influence of using Snowball Throwing model towards the students’ writing ability in recount text in the eighth grade of MTs Al-Hikmah Gerning Pesawaran.
