- The cement industry company is a company, which works in cement industry field. The problem is a decrease of company net profit. It shows that company is having financial distress or financial difficulty. This research aims at knowing and analyzing financial distress condition in Cement Industry Company that is registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange periode of 2012-2016 by applying of calculation altman method. Research method appleid descriptive method that was the conducted research to know independent variable score whether one variable or more variable without making comparison or to connect with other variables. The technique used in collecting data was absolutely having a different way. The data can be obtained by variety way among other a primary data or secondary data. Yet, in this research, the researcher applied a secondary data because the data was not obtained from company directly but it was downloaded from web site www.idx.co.id and www.sahamok.com as a data provider. A company sample selected among other: PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa, Tbk, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero), Tbk, PT Holcim Indonesia, Tbk, dan PT Semen Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. the calculation altman method used with five financial ratios that are for go public company, there are working capital toward total assets (X1), retained earning toward total assets (X2), EBIT toward total assets (X3), value of equity markets toward total debt (X4), and sells toward total assets (X5). Based on research result shows that PT. Semen Batu Raja (persero) Tbk, is a healthy company, followed by PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk, and PT. Semen Indonesia (persero) Tbk, that is in safe zone shows has healthy condition of company financial so far as it is in possible that company has bankruptcy. Meanwhile PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk, is a company that is an distress zone shows company financial so far as it is not possible that company that is in distress zone shows company financial distress and high risk to have bankruptcy
