  • Pregnancy is a physiological part of a woman's life. This process causes hormonal, physical, mental, and social changes. These changes can cause discomfort, one the change is emesis of gravidarum which often occurs in the first trimester of pregnancy. Cases of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women in Sukabumi reach 70 – 80 % of all pregnancies, meaning that out of 10 pregnant women there are 7-8 pregnant women who experience emesis gravidarum problems. This paper aims to provide nursing care and apply lemon citrus aromatherapy to a pregnant woman with nutritional deficit problems. The writing method was a case study with data collection techniques: interviews, observations, physical examinations, documentation, and literature studies. In the study, Ny. D showed that the client experienced nausea and vomiting 5-7 times a day. The nursing diagnosis was a nutritional deficit. The nursing intervention carried out to deal with this nutritional deficit was implementing lemon aromatherapy in the client. The therapy aimed to reduce the intensity of nausea and vomiting. The implementation of therapy was conducted for three days. From the results of the final evaluation, it was found that there was a decrease in the intensity of nausea and vomiting on the third day. The frequency of nausea and vomiting reaching 1-2 times a day. So, it can be concluded that applying lemon aromatherapy as complementary nursing can reduce the frequency of nausea and vomiting for pregnant women in the first trimester. The author suggests that lemon aromatherapy can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy for pregnant women with emesis gravidarum.
