  • Background: The normal post partum period or the period since the baby is born and the placenta comes out of the uterus for the next six weeks accompanied by the restoration of organs related to the womb that undergo physiological and psychological changes. Factors that affect the ineffectiveness of breastfeeding are discomfort, after the mother gives birth, the mother will experience discomfort throughout the body, stress and worry about not getting enough breast milk for her baby. This will inhibit the secretion of the hormone oxytocin inhibited, milk production is not smooth, milk production is not smooth, milk production is not smooth can cause swelling in the breast and result in ineffective breastfeeding. The purpose of this paper is to understand and apply oxytocin massage to facilitate breastfeeding for post partum mothers in the work area of the Tegalbuleud Public Health Center, more precisely in Panginuman Village, Tegalbuleud Village, Tegalbuleud District, Sukabumi Regency. Methods of data collection: the method of preparing this Scientific Writing by conducting direct observations and interviews. Application Result: The author applies oxytocin massage for 3 days with 2 meetings in 1 day. The results obtained after this application, breast milk became smooth and swelling in the breast reduced. Conclusion: There was an outflow of breast milk from 1 cc (the size of a corn seed) to 100 CC, which was quite a lot during oxytocin massage with 6 meetings in 3 days. Oxytocin massage is highly recommended to be done regularly, especially for post partum mothers.
