- The course of hypertension is likely to continue to increase in the future. Symptoms are headache, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, easy fatigue, ringing in the ears, nosebleeds, blurred vision, caused by damage to the brain, eyes, heart and kidneys. Anxiety is an individual's emotional condition and subjective experience of objects that are unclear and specific due to the anticipation of danger that allows individuals to take action to dealwith threats. One of the non-pharmacological efforts to overcome anxiety in hypertension is the provision of deep breathing relaxation techniques. This study aims to enable patients to control their body's response to anxiety, reduce oxygen consumption, metabolism, respiratory and heart rates, muscle tension and blood pressure. This research method uses a case study strategy. The application of deep breathing relaxation therapy was carried out for 3 days, on 7, 8 and 9 May, this therapy was carried out once a day for 15 minutes. The results obtained after deep breathing relaxation therapy were a decrease in anxiety levels from a score of 16 to 2 using the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) measurement. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of giving deep breathing relaxation therapy on hypertension with anxiety.
