MORALITAS TOKOH UTAMA DALAM NOVEL THERAPY KARYA SEBASTIAN FITZEK

- This research is entitled “Moralitas Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Therapy karya Sebastian Fitzek”. The research aims at describing the types of moral message and ways of delivering the messages in the novel Therapy by Sebastian Fitzek. The theory applied in this research is the theory of moral messages from Nurgiyantoro (2015). The research method of this research is qualitative. The data analysis used is content analysis and the approach is a moral approach. The result of the research indicates that there are three types of moral messages and ways of delivering the messages in the novel. The types of moral message, include (1) human relationships with themself are longing, despair, regret, sadness, and self-control; (2) human relationships with others in the social and natural environment are affection, solidarity, thankfulness, wisdom, concern, politeness, and impoliteness; (3) human relationships with God are praying, gratefulness, and surrenderness. Ways of delivering the messages, include (1) direct messages through description and character; (2) indirect messages through an incident, conflict, attitude, and behavior.
