APLIKASI TEKNIK PERNAPASAN TEKNIK BUTEYKO PADA NY.G DENGAN USIA 20 TAHUN PADA PENDERITA ASMA
Daftar Isi:
- The Buteyko breathing technique is a series of simple breathing exercises whose mechanical principles are different from other breathing methods. But in general they have the same goal of improving diaphragmatic breathing. This technique has a special feature that focuses more on lowering the respiratory rate. People with asthma will experience hyperventilation which causes low levels of CO2 and consequently oxygenation will decrease. The Buteyko breathing technique is also believed to help reduce breathing difficulties in asthmatics. The trick is to hold the carbon dioxide from being lost progressively due to hyperventilation. This type of case study design is quasi-experimental using dependent and independent variables. Data collection was carried out at the same time for the respondents. This design uses pre and post action research methods. The conclusion is that the Buteyko breathing technique can reduce shortness of breath in patients with bronchial asthma after being given therapy for 6 times with a frequency of 1 time per day for 21 minutes. And the results of the measurement of shortness of breath using the MMRC scale from pre and post exercise resulted in a difference of 1.4 decreases in shortness of breath.
