  • Violent behavior is a condition in which a person cannot control his angry behavior so that it is expressed in the form of physical and/or verbal aggressive behavior that can injure oneself, others and damage the environment so that it requires effective and appropriate nursing action. Specialist nursing actions that can be given to clients with violent behavior are cognitive behavior therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) on changes in symptoms and abilities of clients with violent behavior in Kp Sodong, Bojongherang Village. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews and literature. The results of the study that CBT and REBT therapy can reduce symptoms and control emotions in violent behavior clients. Suggestions from the research are expected that patients and families can apply cognitive behavior therapy independently in controlling and controlling violent behavior.
