  • Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure with systolic results above 120 mmHg and diastolic 80 mmHg. One of the signs and symptoms of hypertension is back neck pain. The purpose of this case study is to apply warm compresses to pain in hypertensive patients. The method in this scientific paper is a case study in giving warm compresses. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation, physical examination and documentation study. The results of the intervention showed that there was a decrease in the pain scale from a scale of 5 during the assessment to 0 after the intervention for 3 days or there was no pain measured by NRS (Numerical Rating Scale). It can be concluded that the action of warm compresses has an effect on reducing the pain scale experienced by patients with hypertension with decreased pain scale indicators, no pain complaints, and adequate rest frequency.
