  • Stroke is a neurological disease that can cause loss of motor function in sufferers, so that the patient's motor skills experience weakness or hemiparesis. Number of stroke patients in West Java Province in 2013. A total of 238,001 people (7.4‰). The high prevalence of stroke, experts are trying to find a solution to this disease, either pharmacologically or nonpharmacologically. The purpose of this scientific paper is to use rubber ball gripping exercise therapy to increase the value of muscle strength and stimulate motor movement. The method in this scientific paper uses a qualitative descriptive with a case study using one respondent, namely Mr. H who had a non-hemorrhagic stroke. The rubber ball gripping exercise intervention was given for six visits with a time of 3-10 minutes. Measurement of variables using a muscle strength assessor. Based on the results of case studies that have been carried out, from the exercise of gripping a rubber ball on upper extremity weakness due to stroke, it shows that there is an increase in the value of muscle strength, which occurs not significantly but slowly so that the motor in Mr. H can increase. It can be concluded that pharmacological treatment and assisted by non-pharmacological therapy is a good solution to increase motor strength in upper extremity weakness due to stroke.
