- In 2015 WHO reported the development of DHF cases in the world which was increasing from 1,016,162 from 60 countries from 2000-2010. Some of the countries infected with DHF cases include Africa, America, the East Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, and the West Pacific, which have passed 1.2 million cases between 2008 and more than 2.3 million, while Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest DHF cases in Southeast Asia and the second highest in the world after Thailand. Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the bite of the female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Knowledge is the result of knowing, and this occurs after people have sensed a certain object. Audio visual media is a tool used in conveying knowledge, attitudes, and ideas in learning. The goal is to increase the knowledge of school-age children about DHF disease. This application uses the case study method. Participants were taken as many as one respondent, namely a 10-year-old child who experienced a lack of knowledge about DHF disease. The actions given are health education about DHF disease and prevention of DHF. The results of this study stated that health education through audio-visual on the knowledge of school-age children about DHF disease and how to prevent it. Suggestions from this research can use research as a reference in health promotion research.
